- Sorry but, I cannot get your solution
Please can you give more details on how changing user password can make it being unexpired?

- Expired means that the password has expired and will have to be changed. As you change the password, the account will be unexpired.#3; Sat, 23 Feb 2008 19:00:00 GMT

- Let see the following:
Create user v_oracle identified by oracle;
grant create session to v_oracle;
alter user v_oracle identified by oracle3; --> this unexpired the password? If so, can you show me a link to understand more about that?

- HI ,
When you create a user, a profile is assigned if no profile is assigned then the default profile is assigned.
CREATE USER test_user
IDENTIFIED BY welcome
DEFAULT TABLESPACE demo
Password expiry time is controlled by the following parameter in the profile, in your case you could check the profile assigned or the DEFAULT prfile.
PASSWORD_LIFE_TIME Specify the number of days the same password can be used for authentication. If you also set a value for PASSWORD_GRACE_TIME, the password expires if it is not changed within the grace period, and further connections are rejected. If you do not set a value for PASSWORD_GRACE_TIME, its default of UNLIMITED will cause the database to issue a warning but let the user continue to connect indefinitely.
