SQL Developer and Instant Client
I'm using SQL Dev on Windows with an instant client. At the moment I've added the instant client to the PATH and set a TNS_ADMIN Env pointing to the sqlnet.ora. With this config everthing works fine. Unfortunatly some Business Application is not working anymore because the instant client is now first in the PATH. The Business App needs on older "normal" client (realy old ;-) ). If I change the PATH pointing first to the old oracle home, the business application runs but the SQL Dev and instant client is not runing anymore together.
A work around would be to start the SQL Dev with a windows batch file which first sets the two environment variable. But then I have a allways a cmd window open when I start the SQL Dev.
Question: Can I set the PATH and TNS_ADMIN in sqldeveloper.conf or sqldeveloper.boot? If yes how?
Reason why I do not just use SQL Dev without client:
We have about 250 DB's in our Datacenters and we use an OID for handling the TNSNAMES. Some DB's have a bit more complex connect strings with loadbalancing, failover etc.
Right know I'm looking forward to create a small package with instant client and sql developer for some of our users. This package should somehow be independet.
Thanks for you help in advance.
